Q&A with Dr. Sayre

What are you most passionate about professionally? Personally?

Professionally, I am passionate about women’s health, digestive health and making sure my patients feel advocated for, seen, and respected!

What three traits define you?

According to my besties: Genuine, thoughtful, and peaceful.

What would you do even if you didn’t get paid to do it?

Give people tips and tricks for managing their blood glucose, among other nutrition hacks and info! I don’t usually mean to, but somehow, I always end up talking about these things in normal conversation.

What’s one thing you couldn’t live without?

Coffee, and my pets! I have a spunky pup and 2 very round orange cats. They are such a source of happiness for me.

What’s the biggest proof that you’re good at what you do?

My patients in the past have told me that I have a peaceful and calming presence and they feel heard and understood by me.

How does your education connect to your professional career? What about personal experiences?

My undergraduate degree is in Wellness Management, which gave me a taste for health program planning, implementing and evaluation. As time went on, I could tell that I wanted to help people in a holistic healthcare setting, so a career in Physical Medicine and Chiropractic was a natural next step for me.

What are you complimented on most in your work?

My communication skills and ability to connect with people and make them feel safe!

Who is your ideal client and why should they connect with you?

I honestly like to treat a range of patients! I really enjoy treating patients from the aging population, because I just think they are very wise and grateful. I also have a passion for the pediatric and perinatal population, and really anyone who is in tune with themselves and their needs and is willing to put in the work to be better!

In your work or creative process, what concepts are sacred? Which rules have you made, which ones do you follow?

I like the concept that nothing happens in a vacuum – and that everything you do impacts those around you!

What is your grand, audacious goal? What do you wish people would know, believe, do?

I wish people would believe that happiness lies within, and that you are not promised tomorrow – so you should live your life to the fullest and make sure people know you care about them while you can.

Do you have any other passions of personal goals that you would like to share?

My short-term goal is to run the Chicago Marathon!

What do you do for fun in your spare time? What are your hobbies?

I love hiking/nature walks, yoga, reading, baking, and I am recently learning to crochet! I also am a plant mom and love playing pickleball.

Share something unique that most people don’t know about you.

I once got stung by a jellyfish while swimming in Italy (and lived to tell the tale.)
