Aliya Schulze, L.Ac, Dipl.OM, MSTOM, is a graduate of Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego. She is nationally certified with the NCCAOM as a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine which includes expertise in acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. Her education encompasses over 3,300 hours of graduate level studies with a Master’s degree in the Science of Oriental Medicine.
Aliya owned her own private practice in San Diego for two years before moving to Chicago to join Aligned Modern Health. Before that, she was a massage therapist for five years.
Aliya’s practice specializes in the care of chronic or acute pain, anxiety and depression, and women’s health including fertility, pregnancy, postpartum, and menopause.

What are you most passionate about professionally? Personally?
I believe that everyone deserves to be healthy and happy. I want everyone to discover the benefits of acupuncture and herbal medicine so that they can be the best version of themselves in their personal and professional lives.

What are you surprisingly good at?
Any crafty diy projects
What’s the weirdest job you’ve ever had?
I designed and sold custom drapery at JCPenney for a while.
What problems do you consistently solve for your clients?
Most patients have never tried acupuncture, so I love educating them about how it works and how it can help them.
Who is your ideal client and why should they connect with you?
Anyone who is stressed out, has pain in his/her body, or is interested in fertility.
In your work or creative process, what concepts are sacred? Which rules have you made, which ones do you follow?
Change is the only thing that stays the same.
The beauty of life happens in the present moment.
What do you wish people would know, believe, do?
There is no need to wait for the perfect time to implement life changes. Life is messy and it’s ok. Take time to care for yourself in the midst of the beautiful mess. You are always worth it.

My husband Sean, our daughter Jade, and our 2 kitties
Do you have any other passions of personal goals that you would like to share?
I truly believe travel is good for the soul, and I seriously intend on visiting every continent
