Q&A with Dr. Adiguzel

What are you most passionate about professionally? Personally?

Professionally, I am most passionate about the biomedical benefits of acupuncture and other holistic modalities. Personally, I am most passionate about helping my fellow Earthlings take responsibility for their choices.

What three traits define you?

Compassionate, passionate, authoritative

What are you surprisingly good at?

Singing! I have been playing guitar, singing and writing music since the age of twelve.

What’s one thing you couldn’t live without?

Definitely music. It can have an emotive force and language that transcends explanation.

What’s the biggest proof that you’re good at what you do?

The fact that my patients keep seeing me to optimize their wellbeing even after their original health concerns have been resolved.

How does your education connect to your professional career? What about personal experiences?

I believe that a deep understanding of health and the human condition requires us to be physician-philosophers, equipped with the knowledge of the workings of the mind and science itself. I am so grateful that my education is right in line with my field. I’ve also found my experiences in meditation to have had and continue to have a profound impact on how I treat patients – with acuity, compassion, groundedness and potency.

What problems do you consistently solve for your clients?

I tend to have a lot of lower back and hip pain come through the door. I love helping people move forward with their bodies and subsequently, with their lives.

What are you complimented on most in your work?

My listening skills. This has not always been my strong suit; it is something I challenge myself to improve upon everyday.

Who is your ideal client and why should they connect with you?

People who desire and are ready to make a change in how they live their lives. I can help others cross the finish line in their transformations toward authenticity and grace.

In your work or creative process, what concepts are sacred? Which rules have you made, which ones do you follow?

Life is precious, and our impact on others’ lives always finds its way back to us.

What is your grand, audacious goal? What do you wish people would know, believe, do?

To bring and help others bring our actions and values into alignment so there can be more positive peace for everyone.

Do you have any other passions of personal goals that you would like to share?

I am working on translating “The World Peace Diet,” by Dr. Will Tuttle PhD into a Turkish edition.

What do you do for fun in your spare time? What are your hobbies?

I enjoy creative writing, playing board games, visiting animal sanctuaries, reading and the watching the occasional reality TV show.

Share something unique that most people don’t know about you.

My full first name is actually Hazer, which means “Caspian” in Turkish. I go by Haz for ease of pronounciation, though it also means “joy” in Turkish.
