Ashley Lederman, DC, MS, is a graduate of National University of Health Sciences where she received her degree in chiropractic medicine. Prior to chiropractic school, she attended Logan University to pursue a M.S. in Sports Rehabilitation. Dr. Lederman completed her undergraduate education at the University of Wisconsin—Madison (Go Badgers!) where she obtained a B.S. in Human Development.
Dr. Lederman has been practicing since 2016, and has worked closely with doctors that specialize in pain management and rehabilitation. Prior to chiropractic school, she completed an internship with the University of Missouri—Columbia in the strength and conditioning department where she worked with football, basketball, baseball, and track and field athletes. She has completed parts A-D for Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (McKenzie), Active Release Technique, Concussion protocol and management, and is currently studying for board certification from the Academy of Chiropractic Orthopedists as well as the certification in MDT.
Dr. Lederman’s practice specializes in rehabilitation, neuromusculoskeletal conditions, and Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy.
Q&A WITH ASHLEY
What are you most passionate about professionally? Personally?
Professionally: Teaching people strategies to help manage their pain and keep them out of pain so they don’t feel like they need to be reliant on providers for the rest of their life. Helping people realize they can have control is extremely rewarding for me as a provider.
Personally: My pets! I have two adorable cats and one incredibly cute dog.
What three traits define you?
Kind, Driven, Compassionate
What would you do even if you didn’t get paid to do it?
Sommelier…if I could pass the test!
What are you surprisingly good at?
Fantasy Football, much to my husband’s chagrin.
What’s one thing you couldn’t live without?
My family; I love them dearly.
What’s the biggest proof that you’re good at what you do?
When my patients cancel their surgery because the numbness/tingling/burning they have been suffering through for months is gone.
What’s your biggest accomplishment?
Graduating from the UW. I am a first generation college student and wanted to go their since I was 10 years old.
What problems do you consistently solve for your clients?
Radicular Symptoms and Balance Training.
What are you complimented on most in your work?
Being thorough and listening
What do you do for fun in your spare time? What are your hobbies?
If I am not working, I am outside with my husband and my pup. I also enjoy everything about wine, reading (Harry Potter is one of my favorites), and cooking.
