Q&A WITH Dr. Freseth
What are you most passionate about professionally? Personally?
Professionally, helping people realize they can do all the activities they want to in life, regardless of age. I also revel in helping athletes; I was an athlete with pain, I can absolutely understand what they’re going through.
Personally, Chris Farley, my wonderful family and friends, and Mexican food.
What three traits define you?
Funny (looking), enthusiastic, dedicated.
What would you do even if you didn’t get paid to do it?
What are you surprisingly good at?
Driving, binge watching TV shows, and golf!
What’s one thing you couldn’t live without?
My collection of Chris Farley DVDs. And, of course my family and friends, they’re the best!
What’s your biggest accomplishment?
Outside of receiving my doctorate, getting on stage to make people laugh.
How does your education connect to your professional career? What about personal experiences?
I have experienced a lot of back and knee issues when I played basketball and volleyball in high school and college. I saw a chiropractor (whom I still see when I go home) and she thought I would make a great chiropractor, I thought she was crazy. Little did I know what would happen in the next few years of my life!
What problems do you consistently solve for your clients?
Headaches, neck and upper back pain, and lower extremity issues with teaching proper biomechanics.
What are you complimented on most in your work?
My ability to educate and help someone understand what’s going on when they visit me.
Who is your ideal client and why should they connect with you?
Athletes, I’ve experienced a lot of injuries in my day, so I can really relate to them.
What do you wish people would know, believe, do?
“Be true to who you are” and always remember “Hakuna Matata”
Do you have any other passions of personal goals that you would like to share?
My bucket list items: take an improv class, do a triathlon (my first one is this year on my birthday), and see all the beautiful places on my WanderList! #writeitdown #makeithappen
What do you do for fun in your spare time? What are your hobbies?
I am a huge sports junkie, playing and watching. I play in a bunch of sports leagues, including basketball, volleyball, softball, kickball, and I love to indulge in golf. I’m a HUGE Badgers and Packers fan – I’m from Wisconsin, what can I say. Finally, reunion trips with my friends and I tend to fancy introducing people to cheese curds!
Share something unique that most people don’t know about you.
I do a mean Matt Foley impression! I’ve been motivating people with it since the ’90s.
