Q&A WITH DR. MAHOLY
What are you most passionate about professionally?
Professionally, I’m most passionate about helping people understand the underlying reason they aren’t feeling right. I love being able to show patients laboratory results that explain why they are experiencing symptoms, and then helping them game-plan how to feel better. To me, nothing is more rewarding!
What are you most passionate about personally?
Personally, I’m most passionate about spending time with my family and friends; whether it’s going on an adventure out to dinner, or an adventure abroad, sharing time with the people I love is what fills my heart outside of work.
What three traits define you?
Kind, dedicated, and honest
What are you surprisingly good at?
Making delicious desserts that are also healthy!
What’s one thing you couldn’t live without?
Of course my family and friends are first on the list, but chapstick is definitely second. 😊
What’s the biggest proof that you’re good at what you do?
My family members ask for and take my advice on their health issues.
What problems do you consistently solve for your clients?
Gastrointestinal problems, fatigue, identifying food sensitivities and nutrient deficiencies, and correcting blood sugar imbalances.
What are you complimented on most in your work?
My kind approach, and ability to help my patients understand their health picture
Who is your ideal client and why should they connect with you?
Anyone struggling to understand why they aren’t feeling well, and ready to get on the path towards health!
In your work or creative process, what concepts are sacred? Which rules have you made, which ones do you follow?
I treat my patients the same way I treat my family. I don’t recommend tests or treatments I don’t truly think will benefit their health picture, I seek to help them understand the underlying cause of their health struggles, and I expect them to put forth the same effort in correcting their care as I do.
What is your grand, audacious goal? What do you wish people would know, believe, do?
My grand, audacious goal is to have a positive impact on the health of all my patients, friends, and family. I wish people would know that almost all chronic diseases are lifestyle driven, and I wish they would make the lifestyle changes necessary to PREVENT these chronic diseases from ever developing.
What do you do for fun in your spare time? What are your hobbies?
For fun I like to travel, spend time with family and friends, go for walks with my husband, do high intensity short duration exercise, explore the Chicago restaurant scene, watch movies and watch Game of Thrones.
