Samara Shein is a Registered Dietitian specializing in integrative and functional nutrition. She received her Masters Degree in Nutrition Science from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and is currently pursuing her board certification in functional nutrition through the Integrative and Functional Nutrition Academy.
Samara is extremely passionate about supporting patients with feeling their very best! She is committed to working with individuals and families to reduce daily stress and anxiety associated with adopting new lifestyle changes. Samara has counseled patients on several therapeutic diets and lifestyle modifications including autoimmune protocols, low histamine, elimination diets, anti-candida, mindful/intuitive eating practices and others. Before selecting a dietary intervention, Samara takes a holistic approach by taking into account the unique bio-individuality, lifestyle, and emotional needs of each person, and works with the patient to find a balance that promotes optimal health and wellbeing.
When Samara is not working with patients, she loves to cook, check out local farmers markets, spend time with family, walk along the lakefront, and get her sweat on at hot yoga! She is also a member of the Dietitians in Integrative and Functional Medicine and Oncology Nutrition dietetic practice groups.
