Dr. Halland began practice in 2010 after completing her Doctorate of Chiropractic from Palmer College (Iowa) after her Bachelor of Arts degree from Augustana College (Illinois). Dr. Halland frequently treats GI-related conditions (such as food intolerances, irritable bowel syndrome, SIBO or yeast overgrowth, heartburn). She has a special interest in the fertility > pregnancy > postnatal phases of health.
Q&A with Dr. Halland
What are you most passionate about professionally? Personally?
Professionally, I’m passionate about teaching. I’m a natural teacher with patients but I also enjoy training other clinicians and creating Continuing Medical Education courses on different nutrients.
Personally, I’m passionate about my family. My husband and I have a new baby at home (as well as our 2 greyhound mix dogs and 1 cat) and we’re always working towards a happy, healthy lifestyle. We are close with both sides of our family. Some live out of state so it’s the perfect excuse to enjoy travel!
Who is your ideal client and why should they connect with you?
An ideal patient is someone who’s ready for change, who loves a data-driven approach, and wants to utilize their natural options.
What are you complimented on most in your work?
I’m most complimented on my ability to clearly explain lab findings when we review them together in person, to create an organized treatment plan and follow it through to completion (with the desired results)!
What’s the biggest proof that you’re good at what you do?
Great patient results as well as the biggest compliment a patient can give – the referral of their family and friends. It’s fun to work with so many people that are interconnected!
What problems do you consistently solve for your clients?
Generally the problem I solve is – “how?” Patients come in with great questions about what type of dietary lifestyle they should follow (“should I do intermittent fasting?”) or what supplementation they should use (“what’s the best supplement to take for energy?) and we answer those questions by using their personal chemistry.
What’s something people don’t know about you?
I’m a good cook and I don’t follow recipes (just wing it)! I also rarely watch TV …. But when I do …. It is usually Game of Thrones.
