What are you most passionate about professionally? Personally?
Professionally, I’m passionate about learning as much as I can about our beautifully complex human bodies; I’m also passionate about harm reduction and striving to offer trauma informed care.
Personally, I’m passionate about making connections; spending time with family, friends, and community members brings me a lot of joy.
What three traits define you?
Caring, Curious, Creative
What are you surprisingly good at?
I’m a decent artist! You wouldn’t know it now, because I’m so immersed in health science these days, but I’m trained in drawing, painting, and sculpting.
What’s the biggest proof that you’re good at what you do?
I would say the relationships I build with patients and the results we’re able to achieve together are the biggest proof I’m good at what I do.
What’s your biggest accomplishment?
Every day, getting to translate a life’s worth of education into meaningful, life changing patient-practitioner interactions!
What’s the weirdest job you’ve ever had?
As a 14 year old, I was an extra on a TV show that was filmed in my hometown of Jacksonville, FL. I used the money I earned to buy my first pair of contact lenses.
Who is your ideal client and why should they connect with you?
My ideal client is one who is curious about how their body works or about how small changes can lead to great health outcomes. They should connect with me because I can guide them to a place of optimal health in ways that are empowering and sustainable.
In your work or creative process, what concepts are sacred? Which rules have you made, which ones do you follow?
Food is medicine; the foods we take in are messages that we give our body.
What is your grand, audacious goal? What do you wish people would know, believe, do?
I wish people would know how awesome their bodies are. No matter your health status, your body is doing its best for you and that’s pretty beautiful.
Do you have any family members or pets to include in your bio?
I have an amazingly supportive spouse, Austin, and two cats, Castor and Soren.
What do you do for fun in your spare time? What are your hobbies?
