Savannah Cass, RDN, LDN, graduated from Johnson & Wales University with a Bachelor of Science in culinary nutrition. She decided to attend a culinary school because of her love for creating unique delicious dishes that nourishes the mind and body. Savannah is very passionate about helping individuals reach their health goals and to feel their best! She is committed to providing recommendations rooted in emerging science- based research while maintaining a holistic mind, body, spirit approach.
After becoming a registered dietitian she worked at a retreat center in northern India in order to learn more about Ayurvedic medicine and nutrition. At the retreat center Savannah worked with the nutritionist and in the kitchen creating wholesome and elegant meals for the guests. Once back in the U.S Savannah began her own business as a personal chef and dietitian, while working as a home health dietitian.
Savannah specializes in culinary nutrition, integrative and functional nutrition, weight loss, and diabetes. Savannah’s interests also include GI disorders, due to struggling with her own GI issues growing up, and mood disorders. She is also about to graduate from David Winston’s herbal studies program, and is a 200-hour certified Kundalini yoga teacher since 2013.

What are you most passionate about professionally? Personally?
I am professionally passionate about helping individuals heal through food and herbal medicine, as well as showing clients how to prepare healthy and delicious meals. Personally, I am passionate about culinary arts, travel, and learning about ancient systems of medicine.

What problems do you consistently solve for your clients?
If any of my clients do not know how to cook, do not have time to cook, or need substitutions or easy recipes for a new diet; I am your person!
What are you complimented on most in your work?
I am knowledgeable, easy to understand and follow, and I really care about my clients and their health.
Share something unique that most people do not know about you.
I have travelled to over 30 countries and I plan to travel to almost all of them!

Becoming a dietitian and developing my craft in culinary arts
What is one thing you couldn’t live without?
What is your grand, audacious goal? What do you wish people would know, believe, do?
My goal is to help my clients realize how much food and lifestyle plays a role in our health and wellbeing. My goal is to get people excited about whole natural food again and to realize that what we eat heals our body and mind.
What do you do for fun in your spare time? What are your hobbies?
Hiking, yoga, cooking, travel, surfing (when I didn’t live in Chicago), and spending time with friends and family.
