Natalie Bruce is a Licensed Massage Therapist at Aligned Modern Health in the West Loop. Natalie attended The Soma Institute for Clinical Massage Therapy where she received the honor of Valedictorian. She also graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a degree in Kinesiology and was recognized on the Dean’s List at UIC. Natalie has worked with competitive athletes at the IGI Chicago Style gymnastics meet at Navy Pier and Division I athletes at Loyola University. She specializes in myofascial release, trigger point therapy, deep tissue and sports massage.

What are you most passionate about professionally? Personally?
Professionally: I am passionate about helping my patients reach their goals through rehab and patient education to healthier and happier lifestyle.
Personally: I am passionate about traveling, doughnuts and biking around the city.

How does your education connect to your professional career? What about personal experiences?
With a BS in Kinesiology and a Clinical Massage Therapy degree from The Soma Institute, my education has taught me the science of physical medicine and how to implement that in a rehabilitation setting.
In your work or creative process, what concepts are sacred? Which rules have you made, which ones do you follow?
I believe in the effectiveness of massage therapy with the integration of therapeutic exercise and self-care.
What do you do for fun in your spare time? What are your hobbies?
For fun I like to plan backpacking trips around the world, spending time outdoors, hanging in my hammock, hiking/camping, riding my bike around the city & reading.
