Reliable, productive and joyous.

What would you do even if you didn’t get paid to do it?

Give massage or teach

What are you surprisingly good at?

Maintaining calm and grounded energy regardless of my surroundings.

What’s one thing you couldn’t live without?

My family.

What’s the biggest proof that you’re good at what you do?

Verbal or reviews from past employers or patients/clients.

How long have you been working in your field?

23 years

What’s your biggest accomplishment?

Continuing to educate myself in the field, maintaining a healthy life work/balance and taking care of my own health and wellness so that I can continue practicing as long as I have.

What’s the weirdest job you’ve ever had?

I helped remove siding and paint a house while working as a project assistant.

How does your education connect to your professional career? What about personal experiences?

All my education has been related to healthcare or massage and body work. I have a lot of experience speaking or performing in front of large groups of people as well as one-on-one with individuals at events. That combined with having eight siblings and 18 nieces and nephews, I believe, makes me easily approachable. Which is very important as a massage therapist.

What problems do you consistently solve for your clients?

Within my scope of practice, I will help them resolve limitations in range of motion, pain and discomfort. I will also help them identify what may be in their environment or daily life that could be causing a re-occurring issue.

What are you complimented on most in your work?

My hands-on pressure and positive energy

Who is your ideal client and why should they connect with you?

Anyone who is physically, and emotionally able to receive massage and body work. They should connect with me because not only can I provide them with experienced massage work, but also because I can identify when I need to refer them to someone else. That way, I can be of help to them even if I am not practitioner they should be working with.

In your work or creative process, what concepts are sacred? Which rules have you made, which ones do you follow?

Always receive every client or patient with unconditional love and understanding. The rules I typically follow are:

  • Respect that you may not know someone’s touch history and be patient and kind.
  • Listen to what your patient or client is saying verbally, with the same awareness and attention as what their body and biofeedback is saying.
  • Respect that every problem it’s just a solution that hasn’t been discovered.
  • No two bodies the same and one person’s body is ever changing.

What is your grand, audacious goal? What do you wish people would know, believe, do?

I would love to help host and work at wellness retreats that are intended patients and clients, but also as to educate others of the power of self-care and a lifestyle that is built on a foundation of balance and the intention of wellness

Do you have any family members or pets to include in your bio?

I have been married to my husband, Andrew, for six years. We have a 7-year-old son named Church and three dogs.

Do you have any other passions of personal goals that you would like to share?

One day I aspire to have a hobby farm where I can rescue livestock and domestic animals. I would also love to have a clinic that would provide massage and body work, for free, to men and women who are victims of domestic violence.

What do you do for fun in your spare time? What are your hobbies?

In my spare time I spend a lot of time with my family outdoors, cooking, camping and so on. I also we will paint and occasionally take commissions or show in small galleries. I am also sing and perform locally.

Share something unique that most people don’t know about you.

I have an extremely good, photographic memory.
